The Draa is formed of water mixed oueds of Ouarzazate and Dades, who descend from the High Atlas. It has incised through the Anti-Atlas. It would be a very long river so capricious waters reached the ocean really, but it almost never happens today.

The dunes of Merzouga, is the great attraction of Tafilalet with the grandiose scenery of the dunes of Erg Chebbi, the largest of all southern Morocco (more than 40km long and 150 m high).

The Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou is inscribed on the World Heritage List of UNESCO since 1987 and several films were shot in the Ksar.
